What is SOCYPAA?
Sonoma County Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous — or SOCYPAA — is a fellowship of young and young-at-heart members who come together to stay sober, have fun, and carry the A.A. message through service.
We host events and activities that create connection and remind us recovery can be full of laughter and purpose.
How Do I Get Involved?
SOCYPAA is run by members who meet regularly to plan events, support each other in sobriety, and keep the message of A.A. alive for young people.
The best way to get involved is to come to a committee meeting. You’ll meet others in recovery, learn how things work, and find where your skills and interests align — whether that’s organizing events, greeting newcomers, or helping with graphics, outreach, finance, or just being a member at large.
Everyone starts by showing up. From there, you can stand for a service position and become part of the team that keeps SOCYPAA running strong.

Where Do We Meet?
Our committee meets every 1st and 3rd Sunday at 7:30 PM in the McMullen Room at First United Methodist Church at 1551 Montgomery Dr, Santa Rosa, CA 95405.
There’s street parking available nearby, and everyone is welcome to drop in. You don’t need to sign up or have prior experience.
This is not a regular A.A. meeting, but an open committee where members plan events and carry the message of recovery through service and fellowship.

Come trudge the road of happy destiny with us!
